Attractive antique French fly fishing Creel from about 1900 to 1910. The main body is woven plaited straw, an unusual feature, with a band of willow. Top and bottom are framed woven willow. The whole was given a waterproof coating which after all the years of use, wear and handling have given the basket a killer patina. Fabulous decorative antique item giving that fisher-mans cottage rustic French country vibe.
