Dressed in hip waders, sculptor David Rogers, from Long Island, New York adjusts the wings of his 100 pound, 10 foot tall "Damselfly" in his Big Bugs exhibit at the Denver Botanic Gardens. The gigantic insect sculptures are created from various combinations of trees, saplings, branches, and other forest materials. The Damselfly is made from red cedar wood and willow on an armature. The damselfly is on display in the pond near the Montane Garden of the gardens. "Big Bugs" opens on Saturday March 24th and runs through June 24.
