The Penn Battle II Longcast reel has a heavy duty, fully metal armoured body and boasts attractive cosmetics, accompanied by a sleek, smooth HT-100 Versa Drag system for effortless performance. The Battle II is designed specifically for long range surf casting styles of fishing. This reel features a full metal body construction providing maximum reliability and allows the reel to maintain precision gear alignment under severe load and punishment. Built with a Techno-Balanced rotor, this gives the reel easy and effortless retrieves and the 5+1 shielded stainless steel ball bearings enhance the reel’s smooth performance. The Superline spool and the slow oscillation system provides excellent line lay and will help to improve casting distances. The Battle II LC also includes an Instant Anti-Reverse bearing, heavy-duty aluminium bail wire and line capacity rings for easy identification of how much line you have left. The Penn Battle II LC is available in either a 7000 (LC) Longcast model, an 8000 (LC) Longcast model or an 8000 (LL) Live Liner model with a freespool baitrunner feature. Each reel has a stunning black and gold colour design combination. Each reel is supplied with two spools, one deep for mono and one shallow for braid. Internally the Conflict II Long Cast is powered with our CNC Gear Technology, and high quality stainless steel ball bearings. With the Superline Spool, no backing is needed because of the rubber gasket that keeps superlines from slipping.
