These reels feature a Magsealed main shaft, Magsealed line roller and (CRBB) corrosion resistant ball bearings for long lasting smoothness and performance. Magnetic Oil is one of a new generation of Nano Fluids that can change density and shape when a magnetic field is applied. Corrosion resistant ball bearings last up to 12 times longer than standard stainless steel ball bearings. The Air Rotor weighs up to 15% less than ordinary rotor designs. Its unique shape reduces unnecessary weight while distributing stress more evenly throughout the rotor for maximum strength. The ABS spool's maximized core diameter and reversed taper mean 100% usable line. No "dead" line buried in a deep core. You can fill it with line right up to the edge of the spool lip

These all aluminum reels have been rebuilt from the ground up and have been outfitted with Magsealed technology. The main shaft and line roller are both mag sealed. Daiwa has also put a mag sealed ball bearing into the 4500 and larger size reels along with seven CRBB corrosion resistant ball bearings. The 4000 and smaller sizes have 8 CRBB.
