Orvis - Madison 7'6 2/1 6wt Impregnated Bamboo Rod - Freestone

For sale here is an Orvis Madison 7'6" 2/1 6wt impregnated bamboo rod in very good used condition. Serial #78564, made in 1976. Medium tempered cane with bright guides wrapped in transparent light brown windings. The sections are full length and free of repairs, and the tip has just a hint of a casting sweep. 12/64 ferrules are blued and fit perfectly. U-shaped hook keeper, nickel silver winding check and 6" cork grip (soiled but smooth). The winding check is worn to a dull patina that should polish up quite easily. Down-locking aluminum reel seat over fine wood spacer. Scripted and actual weight is 3 7/8oz. The action is medium fast and it's rated for a 6wt although most will prefer it with a 5. Sold in the original bag and tube with scuffed up foil data label.
