Three metal standoff arms keep the bait from tangling with the main leader. Since there are three hooks it's possible to use all three hooks the same size or to mix hook sizes. One tactic is to use the smallest hook on the bottom and the largest hook up top. Adding multiple baits to the rig can also increase your chances. Tie a loop using about 20 or 30 cm of monofilament lighter than your main line. Tie the two ends using a surgeons knot. Take the loop and put it through the sinler eye.
