For sale here is an Orvis Battenkill, 7'6" 2-piece / 2-tip 6wt bamboo rod in excellent used condition. Serial #16269, made in 1954. The rod features dark impregnated cane with oxidized snake guides wrapped in transparent caramel windings. Blued ferrules fit perfectly and all sections are straight, full length & serialized. Weight is 3 3/4oz. U-shaped hook keeper, 6" cigar grip and down-locking aluminum reel seat over wood spacer. The wraps show some signs of age, but the rod remains in excellent condition throughout. Rated for a 6wt, but I think it's better with a 5wt. Sold in the original bag & replacement aluminum tube.
